Self-care is essential

Self-care is so much more than a warm bath or spa day (as nice as those are!).

Self-care is:

  • Rest
  • Organizing & prioritizing your schedule & responsibilities
  • Nutrition
  • Setting boundaries
  • Enrichment
  • Journaling
  • Expressing gratitude
  • Exercise & meditation
  • Building healthy relationships
  • Making time for what nourishes you

Setting a goal is a form of self-care that is unique for everyone. Your personalized goals should support your mental and physical health. Organizing a hectic schedule so you can incorporate goals & dedicated time for self-care is essential.

Please take care of yourself.

How do you make time for self-care?

  1. I have been pretty good at everything on your list except setting boundaries, which seems to be my lesson this year. It is so extremely important to set boundaries rather than let people drain the life out of you. There’s been times I’ve placed others’ needs above my own and it has taken me down. Not anymore. I’m learning my needs are just as important as someone else’s and will now always take that into consideration.

    • Setting boundaries is essential to truly taking care of yourself. There can always be an ebb & flow & you can be a good friend & supportive loved one, but you have to know your limits & make sure you have time to care for yourself & also receive support. I greatly appreciate your comment & happy to hear you are focused on & acknowledging your own needs are important. I wish you much self-love & success in the new year!
